Took this from the icon diff bot so it is sadly a bit small, but I feel like the old scanner looked a lot more like a handheld scanner.

You actually have handles on the side and it feels like more detailed.

The new one looks a bit like a TV screen to me with how square it is. The dark + on the screen itself probably also helped make it not feel so uniform.

But in the end this is all just my personal preference/opinion. The health scanner does look old, but it really looks like a scanner.

I'm not really knowledgeable in sprites so I won't review this, but I agree with Fresh. It looks like a cube instead of a handheld scanner. That being said, the old sprite is terrible, burn it.

I like the new sprite.

I don't think either of them look like scanners.
They both just look like tablet computers with some extra bits sticking out, but one of them with a much prettier design.

I don't really like the new sprite, it looks like any other device with a screen. Give it something to make it look like a health/medical related device
